Project Description

NIURS is implementing RISLUP course in academia as a continuation of its previous study “Mainstreaming Risk and Inclusion Sensitive Land Use Plan (RISLUP) in the Higher Education of Built Environment Professionals” conducted by Nepal Institute for Urban and Regional Studies (NIURS) in collaboration with Nepal Urban Resilience Project (NURP). For the implementation of RISLUP syllabus, the syllabus was introduced as an elective module in second semester of MSc. Urban Planning at Institute of Engineering (IOE), Pulchowk Campus, Department of Architecture. For the delivery of the course, a team of experts of urban/regional planning, disaster risk reduction and management and GESI are involved. This assignment is expected to become a milestone in terms of instilling the ideas of risk and inclusion in the realm of urban planning specifically in the land use planning in academia.
